One Star Designs :: Vending Two Events On One Night

 One Star Designs will be vending two events tonight. A friend of mine will be vending my sparklies at The Shadow Society Presents: Spring Fever Pin-up Party for the first few hours. I'll be vending at OSD Vending :: Broads & Panties Presents Showgirl Follies and then we'll be at the Shadow Society event afterwards. All purchases at the Shadow Society event will be CASH ONLY until I arrive at th...e event. Unfortunately I only have one credit card reader so it'll be with me at the first event. If you're at the Shadow Society event and wish to make a credit card purchase... no worries... I'll be there sometime around 11pm (possibly a bit later). I will be holding a raffle at the February Viva Dallas Burlesque.  Since the event is Steampunk themed ... I will be raffling off a one of a kind, custom made steampunk pocketwatch.  This will be one from my higher end pocket watch lines.  THese normally sell fro $90.00 to $160.00.  I will also have a "Mechanical Trappings In Time" Necklace as well.  Regardless of who wins ... you will definately get something you like.  You get to choose between the two items. :) This is to help celebrate my one year anniversary with Viva Dallas Burlesque.  Come one ... come all ...

Online Store Is Returning Soon:

The online store (etsy) will be opening back up. However, since I have a LOT of work to do to it before it can open... it'll be probably February when it opens back up. I need to make new stock, photograph it, write descriptions, list it.... you get the idea. The upside is January is a fairly slow month for me so it is the perfect time to do this. Yay! Until then... all my clients OUTSIDE of the surrounding areas will have to just contact me via facebook, email, or text if you wish to purchase something.

One Of The New Lines For February: "Technicolor Hearts"

One of my new lines.. coming for February.  This line is called "Technicolor Hearts".  This line will have several different styles of hearts in a plethora of colors.  Each necklace will be placed on a gorgeously beaded chain.  The bead colors can be changed upon request free of charge.  Some are gloriously sparkly with a multitude of small crystal accents and some are larger in nature with one solid color.  

This line will become available for purchase later on this week.   It'll be available for sale either at our retail location, Dallas Pinup, or online.  If you wish to purchase one of these glorious creations online... please contact us through either our facebook fan page or by email.

Sparkly Cosmic Beads Coming Soon:

I love and adore these beads! I have these gloriously sparkly beads in multiple colors. These are part of a retro line. If you want a matching set... earrings (peirced or clip) and single line bracelets will be available as well. These will be available online, at vending events and also in Dallas PinUp. The line is not yet finished but I will sell what is currently made if someone wants one. Custom colors can also be requested for no extra charge.

A nice picture of our vending table at the Creole Bombshell Productions Presents "Tinsel And Tassels" Holiday show.  The show was absolutely fabulous!  If you ever find yourself in Denton, definately make it a priority to see one of their shows!  This monthly show is held in an adorably unique lounge that is SMOKE FREE!

New Line Comming Soon: Hollywood Land

There is a new line of sparklies coming VERY SOON.  They will only available at Dallas Pinup, located on main street between Monica's and The All Good Cafe in Deep Ellum/Dallas. 

This new line is inspired by the 1930's and 1940's movie stars.  There are several necklaces with breathtaking pendants.  Some of these will be full sets (necklace, bracelet and earrings) and some will be partial sets (necklace and earrings).  All items will be priced individually so you can by one item or the entire set.

 Here's a glimpse of what the One Star Designs section of Dallas Pinup looks like!  Granted the only difference between then and now is that the sign has our logo and is hung.  Stock will be changed regularly.  I also plan on doing a series of lines that will ONLY be available in the store.

Night Of The Deadly Tease:

 We didn't do too bad considering I had to use half of my current stock to fill the retail store.  Normally I vend with two FULL five foot tables.  Between now and our next show, I will be a beading ninja to fill in any wholes in the stock.

It'a a sparklies gorilla style photo shoot down in Deep Ellum.  Hot classic cars, gorgeous pinup models and sparklies!  What could be better?

Small Delay Due To Medical Reasons:

All projects and custom orders will have a small delay.  They will still all arrive to their destinations on time.  No worries.  Unfortunately I got glutened and am unable to work on anything till some of this calms down.  Everything should be back on schedule tomorrow.

The Lollie Bombs Breast Cancer Fundraiser ::

The Lollie Bombs are having a Breast Cancer awareness show and fundraiser. You could win One Star Designs Sparklies along with a lot of other amazing items! So don't forget to buy a raffle ticket or seven!

Wanna See Pictures Of The Candy Line...

Here are two different styles of lollipop necklaces from our candy line.  The first photo shows Nicole wearing a custom created purple and black necklace.  It's made up of purple beads, black and white stripe beads, black chain and a handsculpted miniature lollipop pendant.  Matching earrings can be requested for this line of lollipop necklaces.  I can also do ANY color choices or combos with this line of lollipop necklaces.

The second photo shows Emily wearing another of our lollipop necklaces.  Her necklace is made up of black fancy chain, black glass pearls, blood red faceted italian glass beads and a black/white lollipop pendant with swarovsky crystals inlayed.  This line is extremely limited and is only available in: pink/white, black/white and blue/white lollipop pendants.  

There will be many more creations added to the candy line, so don't worry if you don't like lollipops.  I do not plan on leaving any "candy" preference out.    Besides the "Candy" Line, I also have both a "Cupcake" Line and a forthcoming "Sweet Tooth" Line as well.  I'd also like to remind you that I will do anything custom order at no extra charge to you.  So if you don't see something that you'd like to have created... please by all means drop me a message, text, phone call or email.  We'll make sure that your sparkly dream is not only fulfilled but perfect!

Don't think that because you're male that you'll be left out. I make man sparklies as well. :) I have a LOT of male clients. In the past I've done: custom bracelets, custom rosaries, my special pocketwatches, necklaces and also car necklaces. No one need go through life without custom sparklies!!! I have absolutely NO PROBLEM sparklifying you. :)

Here's Jerry Fedora wearing a One Star Designs custom pocketwatch creation.  It was made specifically for him.  He chose a gunmetal filligree pocketwatch from Tokyo.  The chains were specifically designed with the wearer in mind.  Just ONE of the multitude of sparklies we offer for the modern man.  Since we don't charge extra for custom work, you can literally have whatever your imagination can think up and even that which you can't.  In the past, our male clients have ordered custom bracelets, necklaces, rosaries, pocketwatches, wallet chains and even car necklaces.  There is no end to the custom work you can have done.  What better way to show the world just how truly unique you are?

Deep Ellum Outdoor Market :: March 19th, 2011

The Deep Ellum Outdoor Market this month was a complete and total blast.  It was an amazing event on a very beautiful day.  This month we had well over 800 visitors to the market.  I got to say "hi" to some old faces and also got to meet a lot of new faces.  A lot of sparklies found new homes.  I just can't say enough awesome things about Deep Ellum or the Outdoor Market.  If you have not had the chance to come down and experience it, and it is just that ... an experience,  then you definitely need to put that at the top of your list.  The next Deep Ellum Outdoor Market will be on April 16th, 2011.  We'll see you then!

One Star Designs :: Vending At Viva Dallas Burlesque -- Mardi Gras

Here's a photo of our vending table at Viva.  The sparklies were gorgeous and sparkling all night long.  Many found new homes to sparkle in.  We met so many great and amazing people last night.  The always gorgeous and amazingly talented Stephanie Hastings (A To Zed Photography) graciously took a few photos for me since I neglected to charge the battery in my camera. 

The show was perfectly presented and the entire thing was a whole lotta fun.  If you haven't had the chance to attend a Viva Dallas Burlesque show then you really must come out.  When you do... stop on by our table and say "hi".  Thanks to Shoshana Portnoy, Pin Curl Magazine and Viva Dallas Burlesque for putting on one heck of an amazing event!  Can't wait for the next one...

Victorian Saloon Girl Choker In Peacock ::

Inspired by and created for Vivienne Vermuth.  It's a cross between Victorian choker and saloon girl choker.  The colors are made up of light sky blue swarovski crystal beads, purple swarovski crystal beads, pale sea green  formed glass beads, blue glass beads with a deep violet opalescent glaze, larger faceted plum purple glass beads and very large light purple/blueish shaped art glass beads.  I also made a matching pair of earrings to complete the set.

Jewels A Saloon Girl Would Kill For ::

Just created a new design last night that was inspired by Vivienne Vermuth.  It's a cross between Victorian choker and saloon girl choker.  The colors are made up of light sky blue swarovski crystal beads, purple swarovski crystal beads, pale sea green  formed glass beads, blue glass beads with a deep violet opalescent glaze, larger faceted plum purple glass beads and very large light purple/blueish shaped art glass beads.  I also made a matching pair of earrings to complete the set.  Pictures soon ... promise.

No matter what kind of day you've had... it always brings a sparkle to your day.  It's absolutely amazing just how much a bauble can brighten your day.  You could be having the worst day imaginable and then the sunlight will sparkle just so off of the swarovsky crystals in your earrings ... and suddenly that little glimmer and shimmer of sunshine has managed to melt away everything that broke down your happiness.

It may seem small and silly but a sparkle really can lighten both your day and your mood.  I know in this wild and crazy world, the stress will wear you down.  Constantly working, rushing and trying to do what three people couldn't do in one day.  You're only human.  Women should allow themselves moments of pampering.  It gets hard to do this when you're busy taking care of your family, home and work.  That's what is so great about our jewelry.
